Veritas Education are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of Lewisham, who are seeking a dedicated HLTA or experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

This rewarding role will involve working one-to-one with a small group of children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing tailored support to help them access learning and thrive in the classroom.

The Role:

Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs
Work closely with the SENCo and class teachers to deliver effective interventions
Foster a positive, nurturing environment for pupils to develop confidence and independence
Monitor and report on progress, liaising with parents and outside professionals as required

The Ideal Candidate:

HLTA qualification or proven experience as an SEN TA working with children with EHCPs
Strong understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech & language needs
Calm, patient and adaptable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
Able to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff
Available to start immediately and committed to a long-term role
