About the role - RE Teacher

I am currently working with this mainstream secondary school based in Newham who are currently looking for a RE teacher to start with them on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and expected to hit the ground running. The school are looking for a RE teacher with strong subject knowledge and the ability to build rapport through exciting class content. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience teaching religious education up to GCSE alongside the AQA syllabus.

This oversubscribed, good mainstream secondary school based in the heart of Newham cater to students between the ages 11 and 16 with a SLCN and ASD unit in place to support students with SEN needs. The school have a reputation for looking after staff where a number of schemes in place to support a better work life balance, the school support each member of staff with a lower than average teaching loads where each teacher is treated as a specialist therefore isn't required to teach cover lessons outside of their subject specialisms. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time efficient allowing teacher to focus on other aspects on teaching and learning.
