As a Learning Support Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them to succeed both academically and socially. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities: Learning Support Assistant - Croydon - Primary School

• Assist individual students or small groups with their learning tasks, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Support students with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum effectively.
• Provide emotional and social support to students, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem.
• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and support behavioural strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Support classroom management to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
• Ability to commute to Croydon

Key Skills & Qualifications: Learning Support Assistant - Croydon - Primary School

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
• Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to different learning needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is beneficial.
