The Opportunity
This Top 50 B-Corp firm is currently seeking an Accounts Manager — a confident professional who can take ownership of their portfolio, lead service delivery, and help nurture strong, long-term client relationships.
The role involves managing compliance work, mentoring junior team members, and playing an active part in the team’s success. There is ample variety, independence, and scope to contribute to wider business development efforts. Here, new ideas are welcomed and encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
· Planning and prioritising client work to ensure operational efficiency
· Briefing and guiding junior colleagues to maintain alignment and clarity
· Reviewing financial statements, preparing accounts, and ensuring high quality throughout
· Identifying inefficiencies and proposing improvements to systems and workflows
· Managing work-in-progress and billing with transparency and control
· Acting as a key client contact, providing meaningful support and insights
· Collaborating with other teams to offer a seamless, end-to-end service experience
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will likely bring the following:
· Solid experience with FRS 102 Section 1A, including account preparation and review
· Strong experience in preparing and reviewing management accounts
· A passion for mentoring and developing less experienced team members
· Exposure to business development and a desire to engage more deeply
· Familiarity with liaising with HMRC and other relevant bodies
· Comfort with technology — ideally with experience in Xero, Silverfin, or Caseware
· Bonus: experience with IFRS or FRS 101
