Opportunity for an up-and-coming Technical Services Manager (TSM) - with a few years at management level under their belt - to join an expanding main contractor.
This would be a site-based role, working across 2/3 small fit-out projects (toilet cores, welfare areas and offices etc.)
This would suit someone that has experience in general liaison with facilities managers, building managers, consultants and mechanical & electrical sub-contractors for a main contractor.
The role involves a lot of coordination, managing the MEP install in live buildings or refurbished buildings from design to completion. Expected to lead the MEP side of it alongside the project management team. Chair meetings on their own with consultants, get answers, coordinate with MEP sub-contractors, and support the team.
Mechanically bias with a sound knowledge of electrical would be their preference.
Immediate start on offer for a Technical Services Manager interested in a genuine temp/perm position.

The business:
·An understated contractor has been around for circa 30yrs and has developed from small fast track fit-out projects (£100,000) to major cut & carve refurbishments (up to £30m).
·They have a good pipeline of work (one of their clients has a portfolio of £6bn worth of work, and this contractor are their preferred contractor).
·They are financially strong with healthy capital in the business, and have an excellent credit rating
·They are a principal contractor but consider themselves builders'.
·Last year they finished a £25m refurbishment and fit-out in central London of 300,000 sq.ft over 13 floors
·As a business they have grown over the last few years from £5m to £14m and now £25m this year with further growth anticipated (£40/50m in the next two years).
·Generally, have 2/3 main projects at any one time, with a variety of smaller fit-out projects.

·Good workers - have direct labour for builder's works packages.

This role can also be called Technical Services Manager, TSM, MEP Manager, M&E Manager and Mechanical & Electrical Manager.
