Our Local Authority Client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their Service in Manchester for a locum contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for individuals requiring moving and handling support to ensure safety and best practice.
• Offer expert guidance on moving and handling techniques, equipment, and assistive technology to promote independence and optimise care.
• Recommend, prescribe, and facilitate the use of appropriate equipment (e.g., hoists, slings, stand aids) and environmental adaptations.
• Travel across the city to conduct assessments and provide interventions, requiring a valid driving license.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
• Demonstrated experience working within a local authority setting.
• Proficiency in completing manual handling assessments.
• Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptation processes.
• City wide role so car driver is essential.
