R&D Manager - Gloucestershire

An exciting opportunity for a technically adept R&D Manager has arisen within an award winning, cutting-edge robotics business as they continue to grow and embark on a number of industry first projects.

As an R&D Manager, you will work closely with the CTO and will oversee the day-to-day operations of their Research and Development department & function that includes a team of electronic and mechatronic engineers/specialists, embedded software and application engineers. Within this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving innovations, maintaining quality standards and timely project delivery, collaborate with stakeholders, upskilling the team, as well as continuing the build of a highly collaborative and results focused environment.

This role would suit someone who is comfortable in taking ownership of the technical oversight and running of the overall R&D function and team, who wants to stay up to date with the latest trends & technology and enable the business to continuously innovate & grow…….Sound interesting?

Key skills and experience:

* Previous experience in managing multidisciplinary R&D Engineers

* Handson experience with CAD, PCB design software, embedded systems toolchains, and relevant programming languages etc

* Excellent communication and stakeholder relations skills

* Ability to work onsite on a hybrid model
