An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Head to join our alternative provision school in Solihull. Our school supports children with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety, and we are looking for a Deputy Head who is passionate about leadership in special education and has a proven track record of supporting students with SEND.

As Deputy Head, you will work closely with the Headteacher to lead the school's strategic direction, ensure high-quality teaching and learning, and create an inclusive environment that supports the well-being and progress of all students. You will also be responsible for managing a team of teachers and support staff and ensuring the implementation of effective interventions for students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Headteacher in leading the school, implementing its vision, and driving school improvement.

* Oversee the day-to-day running of the school, ensuring that teaching, learning, and safeguarding standards are maintained.

* Provide leadership for the inclusion department, supporting students with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety.

* Lead and develop staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and fostering a positive, collaborative culture.

* Implement strategies to ensure the achievement and well-being of all students.

Essential Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Significant leadership experience, ideally within a SEND or alternative provision setting.

* Deep understanding of ADHD, ASD, and anxiety, and the ability to support students with complex needs.

* Proven experience of improving outcomes for students with SEND.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Ability to work effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
