Are you an experienced and passionate English Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and specialised environment? A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a welcoming ASD secondary SEN school in Kennington, seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2025.

This well-established SEN school caters exclusively for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated learning needs, offering a tailored and structured curriculum that supports both academic and emotional development. The Role:

As the school's English Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and accessible English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

*

Differentiate your teaching to meet the diverse needs of students with ASD and varying communication styles

*

Support pupils in preparing for Entry Level, Functional Skills, and where appropriate, GCSE English

*

Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCO to implement EHCPs

*

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes student confidence and curiosity

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)

*

Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)

*

A genuine interest in working within SEN, ideally with previous experience in an ASD setting

*

Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach

*

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
