Valuation Surveyor
Location: Cheshire area (with travel to various council properties)
Contract Length: 2 months (with the possibility of extension)
Rate: £50 per hour (negotiation based on experience)

About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Interim Valuation Surveyor to join a busy team within a prominent council in the Cheshire area. In this temporary role, you will be responsible for conducting property valuations for a variety of council assets, including commercial, and public sector properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with strong experience to make an immediate contribution in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Carry out detailed property valuations across various council assets.
·Conduct market research and provide expert advice on rental and sale values for both commercial and residential properties.
·Collaborate with internal teams, including planning and legal departments, to ensure valuation reports align with council policies and objectives.
·Assist with property disposals, acquisitions, and related negotiations.
·Maintain and manage accurate property data, ensuring up-to-date records.
·Offer technical advice to senior management on property management and development matters.
 
Essential Requirements:
·MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualified, or equivalent experience.
·Proven experience in property valuation within a public sector or local government context.
·Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and valuation techniques.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
·High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
 
Desirable Requirements:
·Experience working with local councils or similar public sector organisations.
·Understanding of property development and planning processes.
