Role Overview:

As a Humanities Teaching Assistant, you will support the teaching and learning within the Humanities Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with experienced teachers, help students excel, and gain valuable experience in an academic setting. The role is long-term with the potential for further career progression for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-class support for Humanities lessons (History, Geography, and Religious Studies).
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
Work one-to-one or with small groups of students to reinforce learning and help with any challenges.
Support students with varying learning needs, ensuring an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
Help maintain a positive and organised classroom setting.
Contribute to extra-curricular activities or school events related to Humanities subjects.

Requirements:

A passion for Humanities (History, Geography, Religious Studies) and a strong academic background in these areas.
A DBS certificate on the update service (mandatory).
No prior child-based experience required, but a desire to work with young people is essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
