RG Consultancy are excited to be supporting a well-established SME manufacturing business in Bolton who are recruiting a Financial Controller. This role is newly created and a hands-on role to support the Financial Director with overseeing the financial function for the business. You will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, reporting and controls. Overall systems and process improvement while provide strategic support to the Financial Director.

The Role
- Oversee the transactional finance functions, manage and oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensure timely payments and collections and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare month end year end
- Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow forecasting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audits
- Monitor and improve transactions finance processes to reduced risk and improve efficiency
- Provide reports and work closely with the managing director
- Provide business partner support to other department where needed
The Person
- Proven record working as a Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller
- Ideally worked within an SME environment or a hands role
- Experience with SAGE or similar system would be an advantage
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or financial would be preferred, however part qual and QBE candidates will still be considered
