Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) Nurse

Location: Exeter, Devon

Pay Rates:

* Weekday: £27 per hour

* Nights & Saturdays: £32.85 per hour

* Sundays & Bank Holidays: £40.82 per hour

Contract Type: Full-time, with flexible shift patterns

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) Nurse to join our critical care team in Exeter. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with life-threatening conditions, utilizing advanced monitoring and treatment techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, ensuring timely interventions.

* Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

* Operate and maintain sophisticated medical equipment.

* Provide support and education to patients' families regarding care plans.

Requirements:

* Active NMC registration.

* Proven experience in an ITU or critical care setting.

* Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

* Ability to work effectively under pressure.

* Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Desirable Skills:

* Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.

* Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
