Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s largest independent autocentre chains to recruit a Vehicle Technician in Strood.The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.The main objective of the role will be to service light vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.The successful candidate will be part of a small team but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.Job Responsibilities:

• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
• To carry out repairs & servicing to a trained level on light vehicles after successful completion of training
• To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
• To maintain the cleanliness of the Centre and its equipment on an ongoing basis
• To comply with reasonable instructions from Management
• To adhere to the Company’s Policy & Procedures
• The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
• To be available for work at the times specified by the Company

There are training opportunities to further your career within the Company.The role reports directly to the Centre Manager.Salary: Dependent on experienceHours: The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm.
