About our Client
Our client is a keen sports enthusiast who regularly plays Power Chair Football and is an avid supporter of Spurs Men’s football team and would love someone that is also into football, or at least willing to learn about it!
Our client has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and will need help with personal care, daily routines, transferring with a hoist and navigating university life. Besides sports, he is a keen movie goer and enjoys talking about all aspects of films, his favourite being The Departed. He also has a love for all things geeky, including comics, games and TV series such as Game of Thrones and The Boys.

We are looking for a positive, like-minded PA to assist our client with day-to-day living and general support at university with his studies, helping him to lead as independent a life as possible.
Our client would like someone who is supportive and proactive, helping with personal care, socialising, and everyday tasks. This role goes far beyond simply personal care work, it includes all the fun things you would expect a university student to be doing, like going out, seeing friends, day trips or on holiday, and much more!

"This job is for a full-time caregiver, you will need to help me with all aspects of physical tasks, personal care and hygiene. You will have your own room to sleep in overnight within the same flat, I may need you at night so be aware you may be woken up by me calling you in the night for assistance."
"The idea is you won’t be right near me all the time, but close and flexible enough to essentially drop everything and assist me if and when I need you."
"My biggest passion is Men’s Football, I am a big Tottenham Hotspur fan and they take up a lot of my thoughts. I have a website and social media page about them, news, discussions, opinions. Most of the time I’d probably rather stay inside watching any matches I can than go out like most other students will, it would be preferable if my PA is also interested in football and can talk about it with me."
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
You will need:
- Hold a clean, full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- To be physically fit, calm, patient, friendly and caring
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- To have a good sense of humour
- A mature and responsible attitude
- Good communication skills
- To be fluent in English
- To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways
