Background:

ABPM is retained by an exciting technology-led products group that is successfully growing both in the UK and European markets. Led by a customer focused leadership team, they have invested significantly and tactically in their product solutions resulting in the business holding market-leading positions. The role is newly created, reporting to the CEO, represents an exceptional opportunity.

Remit:

This is a leadership role accountable for the continued development and management of group sales and business development strategy, that will meet the ambitious growth plans of the group. This role is key to improving the overall business development approach and will lead the team by example, with responsibility for developing business opportunities as well as supporting the team to do the same.

The role would suit a leader who still enjoys the opportunity to work in the field, building customer relationships and maintaining a hands-on approach, entrepreneurial in nature and technically minded.

Applications:

Applications are sought from those holding a senior sales role and proven evidence of driving a team to exceed targets. A background of B2B sales, particularly in replying to Public Sector tenders in relation to product-led technology solutions is key.

As a collaborative and consultative business, the ability to operate successfully in a matrix organisation will be paramount. Yours is a high-energy approach with an inquisitive and technically minded outlook. You will face a changing environment which is dynamic and engaging, and so you must be able to generate positive outcomes from colleagues at all levels and cross functionally to support the success of the sales function.

To succeed, it is evident you must be able to gain credibility and respect from colleagues and customers alike. Create a relationship whereby they wish to share their knowledge with you to enable you to gain a clear understanding of their current solutions and the opportunities for development to meet current and future needs.
