EMBS Engineering is in partnership with an engineering company located in Nuneaton that manufactures a range of different engineering technologies to create and develop specialist components. Due to our client's increased workload, they are looking to expand and are therefore looking for a Composite Operative to join their growing team and support with new and exciting projects.

Located at their site in Nuneaton, as a Composite Operative you will be working alongside talented engineers on modern, up to date machinery, testing yourself to manufacture challenging parts and materials. As a Composite Operative you will be prepping, trimming and/or laminating parts across a broad range of products. You will read drawings and work instructions to ensure parts are manufactured to customer specifications.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Essential Skills

* Experience of working within a manufacturing environment supplying into high profile industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Oil & Gas etc

* Experience following instructions and working to tight tolerances

* Previously worked with complex materials such as carbon, composites, glass, metal, polymers etc

* Confidence using a wide range of hand and air tools

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Strong attention to detail

* Good communications skills and the ability to work well within a team

Desirable Skills

* Confidence using mouldings, vacuums, prepreg autoclave processes and materials such as carbon and glass

* Previous experience trimming carbon and/or GRP composites components

* Experience using hand and air tools to prep and trim components

* Prep and bond composites using adhesives and fixtures

* Able to perform techniques such as drilling, tapping, and fitting inserts into holes
