We are investing in our internal auditing capability and are looking for someone who has the necessary skills and commitment to work towards becoming our Auditor Lead. As Auditor Lead you will be responsible for delivering and conducting internal audits to time and quality under the direction of the Audit & Performance Manager. In due course, you will be able to see the whole process through from the initial scoping of the audit to following up the open internal audit recommendations. You will also assist in the facilitation of our third-party certification audits.
You will join a small friendly quality driven team and will have the opportunity to liaise with all levels of the organisation. The role will include travel to other locations to carry out / facilitate audits as required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the scoping, resourcing and delivery of the internal audit plan as required.
- Act as a lead internal auditor carrying out multiple internal audits and provide advice to other internal auditors.
- Facilitate third-party audits, liaising with all levels of the organisation.
- Ensure timely issue of audit reports and pro-active monitoring and follow up of audit findings challenging ineffective remedial action.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Willing and able to study towards Integrated Internal Auditor & Lead Auditor, with a personal commitment to personal and professional development
- Some experience of undertaking internal audits and / or an natural curiosity to understand processes, systems with a drive to improve
- Ideally some experience with management system standards and / or a willingness to quickly get up to speed with (e.g. ISO Standards, SSIP, ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC).
-Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent attention to detail.
