The Royal Aeronautical Society is a professional body dedicated to aerospace, aviation, and space communities. They exist to further the advancement of aeronautical art, science, and engineering around the world.

The Role:
We are seeking a conscientious and efficient Finance Assistant to provide vital financial support to the Society. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bank reconciliations and manage daily receipts and payments
  • Support in the administration of Purchase and Sales Ledgers, including invoicing and credit control
  • Help with month-end processes, including adjustments, accruals, and payroll reconciliation
  • Provide administrative support for pension schemes, Gift Aid claims, and Society Branch returns
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, maintaining professionalism at all times


Key Requirements:

  • Educated to A-level standard/degree calibre
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in an accounts/finance department
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel)
  • Strong English skills in both written and verbal communications
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
