Mechanical Maintenance Fitter

Hours: 06.00am - 15.00pm / 14.00pm - 22.00pm Monday-Friday

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum

Location: Brassington

Contract Type: Permanent

Additional Information: Overtime available, 32 days holiday (Including bank holidays), pension scheme and access to occupational health checks.

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit an Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our client based in Brassington on a permanent basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Control downtime of plant and equipment by informing and educating production employees of routine preventative maintenance and monitor compliance.

* Locate the source of problems and provide the required intervention where applicable

* Remove and replace defective parts using various equipment as applicable i.e. hoists, cranes, hand power tools etc.

* Maintain a safe and clean operating environment at all times by complying with site policies, procedures and processes.

* Provide continued support and advice to management and colleagues.

Working on a multitude of plant and equipment ranging from mills, kilns, dense phase conveyors including screw conveyors and elevators and a multitude of general maintenance tasks, no two days are the same offering any prospective candidate's variety, challenge and those occasional head scratching moments. You will be involved in a wide range of tasks and activities ensuring the business remains successful.

Experience and Skills:

* Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing or engineering setting would be highly advantageous but not a deal breaker.

* Ideally Apprentice trained or time served relevant experience.

* A flexible and positive can-do attitude i.e. solution focused.

* A conscientious team player who can act independently and add value to the Multi-skilled team.
