I’m currently partnering with a growing multi-commodity trader looking for a Financial Controller.Positioned at the core of the business, the role is exposed to senior leadership teams and involved in decision-making, requiring a strategic approach to ensure they are well-integrated and effectively contributing.

As a Finance Controller, you be working directly with the Regional Financial Director growing and improving the business. Within the role you will partner with the wider trading team to support the delivery of the company accounts, develop long term planning and ensure that they are fit for international scale.

• Ensuring that all monthly balances comply with both IFRS and Group Accounting Polices
• Ensuring GL accuracy for onward financial consolidation.
• Reconcile results for trading desk for Product Control monthly estimates, investigating, commentating all material differences.
• Ensure reporting obligations are met and preparation of corrective journals to comply with IFRS.
• Support Senior Financial Controller in processes and controls under IFRS to ensure all trades are correctly recorded across asset and liability.
• Ownership over monthly preparation of all key financial data and with business commentary, for balance sheet results.
• Support new business opportunities through timely analysis and input to the Senior Controller for review
• Build strong relationships with the technical accounting team.
• Support senior members for all reporting to deliver to parent companied for accounts and trading balances.

• ACA Practice Qualified Accountant.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, international subsidiaries, consolidation and group reporting.
• Experience of analysing large data sets and performance metrics.
• Thrives in a high-pressure environment.
