About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to manage the purchase ledger and accounting duties for a defined portfolio of clients. This role includes processing invoices, credit card transactions, staff expenses, and payments, among other tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain supplier and employee ledger accounts.
  • Verify and ensure accuracy of supplier and employee bank details.
  • Monitor relevant AP inboxes.
  • Process purchase ledger invoices and expenses.
  • Prepare draft payment runs for client approval.
  • Load approved payment runs into the client banking system and follow up for authorisation.
  • Process credit card transactions onto the ledger.
  • Provide administrative support to the department.
  • Investigate queries and post journals.
  • Reconcile supplier statements.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role with stability with the more experience the better
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to learn and develop new systems and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Sun, Sage, or Netsuite accounting packages is advantageous.
