Client, Job Role, and Expectations

With over 100 years' of experience within the packaging industry, they have developed an enviable reputation as a leading manufacturer and full-line bagging automation solutions provider incorporating their brands to deliver greater efficiency, productivity and profitability to customers worldwide.

The business has achieved strong YOY growth across the Benelux and France but are now looking to increase their presence in the UK through its market potential and business strategy. The UK operation currently have a team of 8 which comprises of 2 design engineers, 2 service engineers, 1 internal sales support staff, and 1 field sales managers with a turnover of circa £2.2M. They are now looking to grow their UK and Ireland market share by increasing sales.

Key Accountabilities include:

* Growing the existing customer base in current and new markets to achieve a sustainable and profitable ongoing business

* Driving new business sales, especially with key end users, OEMs and distributors

* Becoming the go-to person in the UK for product knowledge and support

* Promoting and increasing the sales of products both with dealers and key end users

* Raising the company profile by attending exhibitions and tradeshows

* Creating and implementing strategy for growth

* Working closely with the current distributors to maximise and increase sales opportunities

This individual must be self-motivated, creative, a team player, and able to clearly articulate bespoke solutions to key stakeholders both internally and externally. This individual will also need to have strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the commercial acumen to understand the needs of their customers, but also the needs, limitations, logistical, and margin/profit requirements of the company. The qualities of the successful candidate will include an enthusiastic approach to account management, cross-selling opportunities, and new business sales with a hunter mentality. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of technical knowledge of relevant capital equipment and machinery. The ability to absorb new product information is also important.

Therefore, the successful candidate may come from either a manufacturer or distributor across several direct and allied market sectors (bagging, fastening, palletisers, materials handling, materials storage, coders/readers, cartooning, machine protection/barriers, etc).

Experience/Qualifications

* A hunger for and motivated by new business and sales development

* A verifiable successful background in sales

* Honest, ethical with the desire to be part of a growing organisation

* An excellent communicator and comfortable working independently

* Experienced and skilled in the key areas of prospecting, presentation, negotiating, closing and client relationship management

* Attention to detail and accuracy as well as fully IT literate (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Package / Remuneration:

The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following:

Basic Salary: Between £35,000 - £45,000

Company Car: Car Allowance
