Your new companyAn established business well experienced in food and beverages manufacture.Your new roleThis accountant will be working in the Financial Operations of the plant, supporting the team with accurate financial records, the reporting processes and delivering cost accounting activities. Financial data integrity will be paramount to support the decision-making processes and thereby improve effectiveness and profitability.Financial Record MaintenanceAssist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records specific to plant operations. Record financial transactions in the plant's accounting system.Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial documents related to the plant.Cost AccountingManagement of standard costs and PPV. Management of production variancesAssist in monitoring and analysing manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour.Analyse cost variances and report findings to the Operations Finance Manager.Inventory ManagementHelp maintain accurate inventory records, including the valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods. Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.Assist in implementing effective inventory control procedures.Financial ReportingAssist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the plant.Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support plant management decisions.Budgeting and ForecastingSupport the preparation of the plant's annual budget and periodic forecasts. Assist in preparing variance analysis reports.Compliance and Internal ControlsEnsure compliance with corporate accounting policies and relevant regulations.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Operational SupportAnalyse production data and provide recommendations for process improvements.Continuous ImprovementParticipate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing plant performance.Stay current with industry trends and best practices in plant accounting and manufacturing financeWhat you'll need to succeed (E) Essential or (D) Desirable

• (E) Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or Qualified AAT, or QBE
• (E) 3 years of accounting experience, in a manufacturing environment.
• (E) Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• (E) Experience with cost accounting and inventory management.
• (E) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• (E) Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• (E) Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
