Accounts Assistant - Uffington - 12 hrs per week - £14ph (6 month contract)

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant with immediate effect for our client who continue to lead their market, based in Uffington, Stamford.

Accounts / Office Assistant - 6 month contract

Main purpose:

This role will support the Finance and office manager in the smooth and efficient running of the UK office and provide holiday/sickness cover for the administration team.

Daily duties:

Administration tasks

  • Accounts payable tasks
  • Accounts receivable tasks
  • Keeping customer and invoicing database up to date and updated customer portals
  • Costing and price comparisons to ensure we remain within budget
  • Producing monthly spending reports for the office and finance manager
  • Providing holiday cover for selected tasks for the sales administrator and the service and audit administrator
  • Ordering stationary, packaging and welfare supplies for the office - ensuring spending remains within budget
  • Filing and scanning of documents as required
  • Data inputting onto group system and gathering data for the finance and office manager
  • Keeping all records and documents up to date
  • Providing monthly stock reports of all stock, demo, and consignment stock
  • Overseeing exhibition stock and ordering additional when required
  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with office visitors
  • Scheduling meetings and document distribution
  • Any other tasks required from the finance and office manager

General

  • Providing assistance to the finance and office manager as required
  • Dealing with any requests from the sales director and sales team
  • General filling, scanning, copying and typing tasks
  • Holiday cover of specific tasks

Experience required:

  • Highly effective time management and personal organization
  • Strong administration background
  • Experience of AP and AR inputting and producing reports
  • Experience of working in a small team
  • Good verbal, written, and listening communication skills
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, excel, word, PDF, order entry system, etc)
  • Highly confidential
