Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support and care to individuals with diverse needs residing in a residential setting.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Promote a safe and supportive environment by maintaining a calm and respectful atmosphere.
- Encourage and facilitate residents' participation in social, recreational, and educational activities.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation as per the organization's policies and procedures.
- Monitor and address any changes in residents' physical or mental well-being, reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a similar residential support or care role is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs and promoting their independence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Flexibility to work sleep-in shifts and occasional night shifts.
- A positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in the field of residential care.
