About the Role

Are you passionate about raising the bar for children's services and driven by relationship-based practice? This exciting Practice Assurance Lead role within our Practice & Learning Service is your chance to make a real impact in Wandsworth, supporting high-quality social work practice and positive outcomes for children and families.

In this role, you'll help embed our Outstanding Practice Framework across all Children's Services, coordinating and elevating the quality of practice through audit programmes, thematic reviews, dip-sampling, and multi-agency audits. Your insights and analytical skills will shape learning episodes, highlight key themes, and present findings to practitioners, managers, and senior leaders in engaging ways.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and develop our quality assurance framework within Children's Services and Early Help.

* Conduct regular practice assurance activities to gather real-life insights, championing children and families' voices in understanding the impact of social work practice.

* Work closely with safeguarding, policy, workforce learning, and performance teams, ensuring inspection readiness across the board.

* Share insights and facilitate collaborative learning among teams, services, and partners.

👤 About You:

* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration and proven experience in managing social work practice.

* Strong background in quality assurance with a sharp analytical eye for interpreting and communicating complex information.

* Skilled in building collaborative relationships across teams, agencies, and leadership levels.

* Commitment to anti-discriminatory and anti-racist practice, aligning with the values of equality and inclusion.

* Up-to-date knowledge of social work policies and guidance, both locally and nationally.
