The School and Role

This welcoming, Secondary school in the Liverpool area are looking to appoint an outgoing and passionate 1:1 Support Assistant to provide support across KS3-KS4.  The role will be full-time, working Mon-Fri, 08:30am-3:30pm, starting immediately after October half-term, and will be ongoing throughout the academic year.  The role will require the successful candidate to provide support both in a small group, and the occasional one-to-one setting.  There will be a particular need for assistance with the core subjects; English, Maths and Science, with a focus on GCSE preparations. The school is committed to delivering high-quality education in a nurturing, inclusive setting, promoting both academic achievement and personal development.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with secondary school aged children

-          Experience working with children with a SEND background/on a 1-1 basis

-          A passion for the progress of secondary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team

-          Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
