As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to students with SEMH needs in Tower Hamlets. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal development.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant in this outstanding school in Tower Hamlets, you will:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and Behavior Support Plans to address specific student needs.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the teaching team as needed.

Must be experienced with SEMH.
Seeking someone who is proactive, resilient, can uphold high standards of the school, and get the best out of the pupils.
The successful candidate will be able to put the needs of the children at the forefront of what they do, taking into consideration individual special educational needs.
Strong understanding of SEMH, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
