We have an amazing opportunity for a Childrens Residential Support Worker to join a friendly, Childrens Residential Service in Hinckley, Leicestershire, supporting children in the ages of 10-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

*Due to the nature of this role, a full UK Driving Licence is required
Overview:


  • Title: Childrens Residential Support Worker

  • Salary: £27,616 - £32,396 ( sleeps included)

  • Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire

  • Hours: Full-time, permanent contract, 37 hours per week

  • Shift pattern: 3-week rolling rota.

  • Week one- 3 shifts, Week two- 3 shifts, Week three- 1 shift

The role:


  • To build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, well-being, strengths, and capabilities.

  • To work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.

  • To contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc.

  • To document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.

  • To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • To promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.



The successful candidate:


  • Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR be willing to successfully achieve this within the required timeframe.

  • Must be motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in young people's lives, creating a safe space and building resilience.

  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children & young people.

  • Flexibility to commit to sleep-ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.

  • Relevant experience working with children & young people is desirable, but not essential with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
