Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for a full-time role in a supportive and welcoming school?

We are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic secondary school in Ashington that is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team for the entire summer term. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in the classroom and is looking for long-term consistency—with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set lessons to KS3 and KS4 students in the absence of the class teacher

Maintain classroom order and manage student behaviour in line with school policies

Ensure all learning objectives are met and feedback is recorded

Support the wider school team where necessary

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting

Strong behaviour management and classroom control

Full-time availability for the summer term

A proactive and adaptable attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
