The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be a valuable member of the Accounting & Finance team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments within this busy property industry company.

Description
- Processing invoices and ensuring timely payments
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Managing petty cash transactions
- Assisting with month-end closure of ledgers
- Inputting supplier invoices to Invoice Register
- Monitoring apportionment and allocation between rent funds and service charge funds
- Liaising with property managers on purchase order and invoice approval process
- Recording invoice approval
- Setting-up batch payment import files and importing to online banking
- For certain suppliers, setting up manual payments
- Ad-hoc credit card payments
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Entering and reconciling direct debit payments
- Monitoring and organising shared AP email account
- Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
- Preparing reports on expenses
- Working closely with the finance team on budget forecasts
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations
Profile
The successful candidate should have:
- Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger and invoice based environment - ideally 3 years as a minimum
- Ideally be studying accountancy qualifications and their AAT
- Strong knowledge of financial software systems
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and team working skills
