Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off (includes sleep-ins)

Our client's team works collaboratively to empower every child to reach their full potential, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader to join a home in Oswestry.

The Role:

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting and guiding our clients dedicated team of residential support workers. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home and help maintain a positive and nurturing environment for the young people in our client's care. This role involves hands-on support, leadership, and ensuring high standards of care in line with our client's organisation's values and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise a team of residential support workers, providing guidance and mentoring.

- Ensure the care provided meets the individual needs of each child and aligns with their care plans.

- Assist in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.

- Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day operations and contribute to the home's development.

- Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

- Lead by example, fostering a positive team culture and promoting professional development.

Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of experience working in residential childcare.

- Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, as part of a rota.
