Approach Personnel are partnering with our long standing client to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor. As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the project delivery process.

The role focusses on successfully taking the lead in helping with costing of potential works on exciting new projects.

Duties

Diagnosing defects and producing reports, carrying out pre-acquisition surveys, defect investigations, condition reports and meausred surveys as part of the pre-construction team
Working to develop schedules of works and work specifications bespoke for each project, producing detailed plans based on conducted surveys
Compliance with industry standards and regulations, including CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall and Building Regulation legislation
Efficiently manage the development of each project, taking responsibility for the oversight of the preconstruction works and team, as well as supervising, supporting and mentoring APC candidates and juniors
About You

Proven industry knowledge and experience of consulting practices in planning, surveying, achitecture and engineering. As well as this, a proven understanding of CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall and Building Regulation legislation, and experience working with these guidelines is essential.
A strong background in inspection and surveying, with experience producing reports on defects, conditions and projected works based on conducted surveys
Confident and experienced in managing large, high value projects in a similar setting
MRICS Accredited, with strong mathematical skills and proven computer literacy
