Talent Quantity Surveyor required on a permanent basis for a rapidly expanding sub-contractor

Our Client, based in Central London, is a specialist refurbishment and Fit out contractor with over 20 years' experience and committed service to the Construction Industry. They cover a wide range of schemes which are both private and publicly funded. Central to their success is understanding their clients individual needs and how they can meet them.

They are currently recruiting an organised and motivated Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial aspects of each project under their control. Other responsibilities expected from the Quantity Surveyor will include:

* Identify new supply chain partners. Issue supply chain questionnaire and establish on the database.

* The Quantity Surveyor will have full commercial reporting and procurement control over projects.

* Produce information for commercial reporting internally and externally - including procurement schedules, financial reports and forecast final accounts.

* Manage all contractual commercial issues from tender handover to project completion including review of order prior to acceptance and any contractual notices.

* Produce valuations; applications for payment; payment certificates and forecast final accounts.

* Represent company at Client meetings.

* Tender work packages and establish best value.

* Procurement of subcontractors.

* Price variations and assess the value of subcontract values.

* Maintain an organized and efficient document system in line with Company procedures.

* Work in close partnership with Project Teams (Contract Managers, Site Supervisors and Subcontractors).

* The Quantity Surveyor will establish good relationships with client counterparts to manage the commercial process.

* The Quantity Surveyor will arrange regular visits to site to establish commercial position; review works completed; joint valuations with Clients and suppliers; assess additional works or change impact.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will have several years' surveying experience and the ability to produce ongoing detailed commercial information. The successful Quantity Surveyor will live in the London area or Home Counties, which will give a relatively easy commute into the office.
