Management Accountant

Location: Luton, Hertfordshire, fully officed basedSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

My client is a leading manufacturing company based in Luton, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their clients. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for producing detailed management accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Handle all aspects of bank postings, payments to suppliers, and employee expenses.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and manage weekly cashflow forecasts.
• Prepare journal entries including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, and payroll.
• Process and post sales ledger invoices and manage credit control effectively.
• Prepare comprehensive year-end audit schedules.
• Supervise and lead a team of two
• Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• QBE is sufficient or could be PQ/FQ CIMA/ACCA/ACA or AAT
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in financial software, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
