Learning Support Assistant - Blackpool:
Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work at a school in Blackpool, supporting children in Key Stage 1.
You will provide learning support to pupils and work in groups and on a 1:1 basis supported by other support and education staff. Ideally you will have previous experience of supporting students with SEN or working within education.
Some pupils may present challenging behaviour and so candidates must ensure they are comfortable working in this type of environment.
THE ROLE:
- Location: Blackpool
- Position: Learning Support Assistant
- Hours: 8:45am-4:15pm (term time only)
- Type: Full time only
- Minimum rate of pay: £90
- Start date: December 2024
- End date: Ongoing
- Contract type: Temporary
EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
- Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
