Our client is a well-respected business within the Manufacturing Industry supplying customers across the globe with a range of niche products.As part of the companies continued success, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Manager to join the UK Offices ideally located and easily accessible from across Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire.This position will work closely with the company directors, form a key part of the companies SLT and will take responsibility for leading a small finance team whilst also personally taking ownership for the companies Management & Financial Accounting
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including supporting reconciliations
• Review control accounts reconciliations on a rolling basis to aid year end accounting including extract and checks on profit and loss analysis
• Oversee bank reconciliations
• Monitor the completion and production of sales and purchase ledger providing authorisation
• Assist with the preparation of year end accounts, including the provision of support and assistance during the annual audit ensuring it is delivered in a timely and effective manner
• Authorise bank payments and overheads
• Day to day cash flow management
• Manage the annual budget process
• Submission of monthly/quarterly returns to HMRC
• Provide reports and updates to the management team
• Complete monthly 1-2-1’s and annual Performance Development Reviews with the team to support development and identify areas for improvements
• Identify and report any risk identified in a timely manner to the Senior Management
• Negotiation of company insurancesThe ideal candidate will be working towards AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA if not already qualified and ideally have previous experience gained within a similar position.Those that are QBE but can demonstrate suitable experience will be considered as this role is very much about real life experience and securing a good personality fit to this fun and friendly team.Candidates must have experience and be comfortable taking sole responsibility for the Management / Financial Accounting for this business however could prove a ideal step to those wanting to move into a management / leadership position

Good level of IT Literacy (Experience of Access Dimensions Desirable but not essential)Comfortable taking a leadership position, guiding and mentoring a small team of 3Strong and demonstrated exposure taking ownership of the company’s Financial & Management accounting ideally to include company payroll / PAYE.Experience gained within a manufacturing, engineering or construction Industry desirable and or with Cost Accounting Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, forming a key part of the companies SLT this role requires daily interaction to include reporting and analysis for the DirectorsIn return this role promises to be both varied and progressive with candidates being given wide scope to impact and drive the business forward.A competitive basic salary coupled with bonus and excellent benefits can be offered with this role to include Study Support (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) for those wishing to study and not already qualified.
