Clerk of Works with the Traffic Team. Responsible for the monitoring and checking of traffic works carried out on site by the term maintenance contractor on behalf of Climate Change and Transport within Islington Council. Including, cycling and walking schemes, public realm schemes, school streets, local safety scheme, parking, disabled bays, bus priority, Liveable Neighbourhoods, and sustainable drainage. Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with works orders, design drawings, specifications and engineers' instructions. Attend work sites daily, and conduct site surveys and site inspections and to ensure that all work is satisfactorily completed and record all snagging and deflects. To contribute to the improvement of the service by offering advice on construction processes and procedures. To measure completed work for payments purposes and where possible jointly with contractors' representative.

35 hours per week Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 (hours subject to change)
