Then this could be a great opportunity for you! Volante Group are very proud to have partnered with a Multi Academy Trust which has a history of outstanding Ofsted inspections. This Academy Trust has two dynamic and successful 11-18 schools serving the East London community. Duties will include the following: -


• Lead the preparation and delivery of an annual draft budget plan for Academy Trust in collaboration with Principal and SBM for consideration by the CFO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT)


• Lead budget reviews at appropriate intervals in the financial year and report to CFO and ELT with recommended corrective actions and insights as appropriate.


• Review the month-end reporting process to ensure that reports are prepared on a reliable and consistent basis and assist in the preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts to include cash flows and balance sheet.


• Monitor Schools expenditure and income, reporting on a monthly basis to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team with recommended action plan, as necessary


• Ensuring that costs incurred represent best value to the Trust

The client is looking for the following pre-requisites: -


• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)


• Previous experience of working in a senior financial position level in a comparable or larger organisation, preferably in Education or the Charities sector


• Proven track record of preparing, monitoring and analysing budgets and Annual Accounts in a public sector environment.


• Proactively contributing to Finance policy formulation, implementation, evaluation and review


• Managing and motivating a high-performing team.


• Producing reports to support governance across the Trust


• Supporting and influencing Budget holders to manage delegated budgets in an appropriate manner in relation to Financial Regulations and Scheme of Delegation.
