Demand Planner

Pinpoint Resourcing are currently partnered with a well manufactoring based in West London to source a Demand Planner to join them on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Generate timely and accurate demand plans for all product categories in your customer accounts on a weekly/monthly/promotional basis
• Owner of forecast accuracy KPIs for your customer accounts. Drive root cause identification and corrective actions at SKU level. Challenge the sales forecast to drive excellent DPA
• Assist in the development of process to complement and challenge the wider business; maximise the robustness of the forecast given to supply planning
• Build strong relationships internally & externally, taking a collaborative approach to forecasting and other projects
• Assist in developing the company S&OP process, creating new ways of working with different parts of the business, documenting all forecast assumptions, risks and opportunities and performance tracking
• Coordinate and liaise with business development and sales teams to understand the market requirements
• Communicate with all internal functions to ensure full visibility of demand to the entire supply chain

• Analyse historical demand and trends, use latest customer or market intelligence to construct a forecast that can be used to support the raising of Purchase Orders.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• 2-3 years logistics experience of working for an FMCG manufacturer in the role of demand planner
• Full awareness and understanding of the Sales & Operational Planning Processes.
• High degree of understanding of the business drivers and factors that impact on related KPIs
• Analytical with strong Microsoft Excel knowledge. Power BI experience a bonus

Desirable

• Highly numerate and analytical
• Capable of chairing / running forecast review meetings with internal colleagues and external customers
• Ability to negotiate and influence at a Senior level
• Able to prioritise workload & cope with pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work optimally with cross functional teams

More information:

• Annual salary between £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
