The Opportunity

About the Role

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for hunting for new opportunities while maintaining and maximizing existing accounts. You'll provide tailored technical solutions to customers, supporting both our chiller, boiler, and portable rental verticals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities (75% new business, 25% account management)

* Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service

* Cold calling, outbound prospecting, and responding to inbound leads

* Preparing detailed and accurate quotations, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals

* Conducting site surveys to understand customer requirements and provide the best solutions

* Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales pipeline data

* Achieving agreed sales targets and KPIs

* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery

* Participating in the on-call rota as required

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you must have experience in commercial sales within a fast-paced rental or hire environment. A technical mindset and the ability to understand different products and industrial applications will be key to your success.

Other essential skills and attributes include:

* A proven track record of achieving sales targets

* Strong negotiation and closing skills

* Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines

* Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills

* A structured, process-driven approach to sales

* High levels of self-motivation and commercial awareness

* A full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
