As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and dynamic English lessons to students at the secondary level. From exploring classic and contemporary literature to enhancing students' writing and communication skills, you will inspire a lifelong love for English while fostering critical thinking and creativity.

Key Responsibilities for the English Teacher role:

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that align with the national curriculum and cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express their ideas, develop their writing skills, and engage in meaningful discussions.
Utilise a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technology tools to enhance student engagement and facilitate active participation in English learning.
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth and development, identifying areas for improvement and offering additional support as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate English with other subjects and real-world contexts.
The successful English Teacher must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related discipline.
Strong subject knowledge and expertise in teaching English at the secondary level, with a passion for literature and language and a commitment to student success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
A creative and innovative approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to explore the world of English and develop their language skills.
