Finance Assistant
As a Finance Assistant at a college based in Grays, you will support the finance department by handling various administrative and financial tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, a good understanding of financial principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Transactions: Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and assist with bank reconciliations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Budget Support: Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, and provide financial reports as needed.
- Payroll Assistance: Support payroll processing and resolve any payroll-related queries.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with college policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Customer Service: Address financial inquiries from students and staff with professionalism and accuracy.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting systems and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Familiarity with financial software and systems is a plus.

- Organisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
