An opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a Plater.

The purpose of the role is to build fabrications from engineering drawings to correct specifications, tolerances and quality.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Perform all duties in line with health, safety and environment regulations and company policies and procedures.

* Build a variety of fabrications of varying sizes, thickness and material. Will be following engineering drawings / schematics.

* Assemble parts into large semi-complex fabrications ready for welding in accordance with technical drawings.

* Work with a minimum of supervision to required standards.

* Mark out layouts to aid fabrication sequence.

* Operate guillotines and burning equipment such as oxyacetylene.

* Train and mentor apprentices.

* Operate fabrication machine tools and welding equipment.

* Maintain exemplary housekeeping within designated work area.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

* Minimum of 1 years of experience in a plater role

* Experience of working in a workshop environment.

* Must have worked in a heavy engineering background.

Competitive remuneration package offered.

Up to £19.66 per hour depending on experience (Additional overtime available)
