NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a well established CNC manufacturer located in Bridgewater.

Our client is a precision engineering subcontract machine shop that specialises in high quality turning and 5 axis CNC machining in the aerospace, motorsport, defence and commercial customer bases.

Priding themselves on investing in the best equipment, tooling and training along with having a motivated and skilled workforce.

Due to continued expansion of the capacity, capabilities and an expanding order book they need to find an experienced Business Development Manager.

THE ROLE

Support the organisation and meet its customers' expectations whilst filling the capacity of the business with profitable work. To guide the business in making sound business decisions in the short- and long-term business strategy. Oversee the day-to-day sales and chasing up the customers for orders. To meet targets set by the line manager and to follow processes and procedures within the business. To be the point of contact for Sales questions and enquiry within the business for the customers. To present the business in positive professional way to customers , existing and future.

Promoting a right first-time approach to all tasks within the company along with promoting H&S compliance. To work within an AS9100 quality environment.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

* To perform work to an agreed standard at all times and in a timely manner, whilst complying to company Procedures (PR), Work Instructions (W.I) and Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P).

* To be always aware of your own and others safety and comply with all company health and safety procedures and rules.

* To report all health and safety issues that affect their role to the nominated responsible person for the company's health and safety.

* To be always work within the companies' human resources rules.

* To comply with any reasonable request from a manager or director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To generate sales with customers both current and potential ones

* To fill the available capacity of the machines with profitable work.

* To maximise the profitability of the work and report the work that we have losses on.

* To supply sales forecasts both monthly, quarterly and yearly with expected growth targets.

* To complete quotes and manage the customer relationships.

* To put all customer contact details into the ERP/MRP system

* To promote the company both online a physically.

* To be the point of contact for both customers and managers within the business.

* To report on set KPI's within the business and supply solutions when targets are not met.

* Chair the sales meetings and take and report the notes from the meetings.

* To maximise the sales opportunities and be the face of the business.

* Reporting on factors influencing business performance against customer expectations.

* Managing customer expectations.

* Keeping abreast of changes in all of the fields we can potentially supply into.

* To maximise the ROI for all sales activities and costs.

* This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and may be added to by the Managing Director.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Good I.T skills with Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP systems.

* Experience of contract negotiations

* Experience of sales techniques and business development

* Methodical problem solver and solution provider.

* Experience of telephoning/emailing customers.

* Experience of dealing with confidential and commercially sensitive information.

* Experience of data input with a high level of attention to detail.

* Ability to prioitise and manage tasks.
