Job Purpose Shift based mechanical and electrical role, supporting process operations and maintenance activities across the site.

Reporting to the Engineering Shift Lead and working as part of a multi-skilled team on shift, this role will carry out planned and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance as required.

Core Accountabilities
Work as part of the engineering team to carry out maintenance work on machinery and equipment This includes maintenance of packaging, milling, and product handling equipment as well as site infrastructure
Troubleshooting and practical fault finding on plant, mechanical and electrical systems
Installation and commissioning of new plant or modifications as appropriate
Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance
Reporting of all engineering activities in the appropriate format into a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
A proven track record of effective technical problem solving, fault diagnosis, maintenance and continuous improvement
Experience of working in a lean operating environment, preferably FMCG
Experience of working in a operational team of varying disciplines and skill levels
ONC / HNC in Engineering supported by a recognised apprenticeship
Understanding of hazards and controls associated with a complex industrial environment and producing food and feed
Ability to work as an individual and with groups
Ability to effectively balance urgent and important tasks
