Our client is who has been established over 50 years in the plant and hire sector is now looking for a Plant Fitter to join the team in their Bury St Edmond depot due to the growth of the business. Successful candidates will service a range of plant equipment up to 8T including excavators, diggers, dumpers and mobile working platforms. To achieve this, they are paying a competitive salary up to £40,000 with overtime available and a company van with fuel card.

Plant Fitter Job Overview

Servicing plant equipment up to 8 ton including diggers, excavators, dumpers, mobile working platforms and lifts.
Performing pre-delivery inspection
Handling breakdowns and overhauls when required.
Identify and replace faulty parts, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
Carry out routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Ensure that service reports, time sheets etc. are completed correctly and submitted on time.
Promote safe work practices and behaviours among team members.
Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard and on time.
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
This is a mobile and workshop based position.

Plant Fitter Job Requirements

Plant maintenance qualifications advantageous.
Full Driving licence.
3 years experience in a similar role.

Salary: £35,000- £40,000
Working hours: 7:30- 4pm
Overtime available at 1.5 x
