Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Principal Planner on a contract basis. This pivotal role requires comprehensive expertise in development management and town planning to manage large-scale projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and overseeing major planning applications.
Handling large-scale residential projects exceeding 100 units, including reserved matters and outlines.
Overseeing complex commercial and controversial projects.
Engaging in pre-application enquiries and providing expert advice.
Managing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) developments.
Discharging planning conditions, handling post-decision enquiries, non-material amendments, and S73 applications.
Presenting applications to the Planning Committee.
Leading and independently managing urban extension projects.

Job Requirements:

Experience in managing major planning applications.
Proficiency in large-scale residential and commercial projects.
Understanding of complex and controversial project management.
Experience with EIA development.
Hands-on experience with pre-application enquiries.
Familiarity with planning condition discharge and S73 applications.
Capability to present applications to the Planning Committee.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
Ability to independently lead diverse planning projects.
