Field-Based Forklift Service and Repairs Engineer
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary: Circa £36K + Company Vehicle + Paid Door to Door + Overtime Available
We are currently seeking a dedicated Field-Based Forklift Service and Repairs Engineer to join a leading provider of material handling equipment and solutions in Hull, East Yorkshire. As a key member of the service team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring clients' forklifts and industrial equipment remain operational through routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on forklifts and related industrial equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field.
* Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and building strong relationships.
* Ensure equipment is in optimal working condition, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
* Complete paperwork and reports for each service call and communicate any issues or recommendations to the customer.
* Work autonomously, managing your daily schedule and ensuring timely visits to customer sites.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in forklift servicing, repair, or maintenance (ideally 2+ years).
* Strong knowledge of forklift mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
* Full UK driving license and the ability to travel within the designated region.
* Comfortable working in a field-based role, with a strong commitment to health and safety.
